Quick answer: The official AlkaMelt site cites research on five ingredients that are not in its four-ingredient formula. Only the ACV, green tea, berberine and capsaicin studies actually relate to the product.
What we found
The official "Scientific References" list includes studies on glucomannan, chromium picolinate, L-carnitine, green coffee extract and caffeine. AlkaMelt's formula is apple cider vinegar, green tea extract, berberine and cayenne.
Why it matters
A long reference list creates an impression of strong evidence. When some studies are for different ingredients, that impression is misleading, even if unintentional.
What we do instead
We link only to research on the four listed ingredients, and note that none tested AlkaMelt itself. See the ingredients page and ACV research.
